Throwback Thursday #4

Throwback Thursday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by me and Christina @ Booksane where we feature books that we've read in the past but are still crazy about. It could be a book you read as a child and still remember and love or maybe just a book that you haven't read in a long time and want to show your love for.
Each week we'll be featuring a new random question to answer!

My Throwback pick of the week:

Vampire Academy (Vampire Academy #1) by Richelle Mead
Paperback, 332 pages
Published August 16th 2007 by Razorbill

St. Vladimir’s Academy isn’t just any boarding school—it’s a hidden place where vampires are educated in the ways of magic and half-human teens train to protect them. Rose Hathaway is a Dhampir, a bodyguard for her best friend Lissa, a Moroi Vampire Princess. They’ve been on the run, but now they’re being dragged back to St. Vladimir’s—the very place where they’re most in danger...

Rose and Lissa become enmeshed in forbidden romance, the Academy’s ruthless social scene, and unspeakable nighttime rituals. But they must be careful lest the Strigoi—the world’s fiercest and most dangerous vampires—make Lissa one of them forever.

So, me and Vampire Academy kind are kind of having a love affair. I read it way back in March after I joined Goodreads. I heard people talking about it and happened to find it in the store and bought it. Actually because I kept coming in to buy VA books the guy at the store asked me if I knew any other good vampire books. Proud moment there. But anyway, I loooove Vampire Academy and Richelle Mead. Though there's no Adrian (MY LOVE) yet in the first book I still love it too. It will always be special to me because it opened this whole world to me and now we have Bloodlines too and a movie on the way of VA. And it all started with this one book... <3

Quote from Vampire Academy:

“Do you think I'm pretty?"
"I think you're beautiful"
"Beautiful?"
"You are so beautiful, it hurts sometimes.”

Classic Rose and Dimitri, right? ^^

Question of this week:

Which author would you buy and read every single book from?

I could say this is a very hard questions but it isn't really.
My answer is: Eoin Colfer. Yes, who else, right? I haven't read all books by him yet, not by far, but so many books, so little time. Though every new book he brings out now I pretty much buy. Especially if it's YA.
And I also gotta say for female authors it's Michelle Diener, I actually own all her books and have read all but one. :)

How about you?

  1. I loved this series. I read it out of curiosity which ended in me reading the whole series in just a couple of weeks lol. The one person I buy every book from without a doubt is Jennifer L Armentrout. I seriously have loved every single book she comes out with. Its pretty bad because if I am reading something and I am on a deadline, I still stop reading to read her book lol.

  2. I only started this post this year, read it in June and I absolutely loved it! Need to carry on the series but as you say, so many books, so little time!
I'm ashamed to say I haven't read any Eoin Colfer or Michelle Diener but I'll keep an eye out for them both from now on!

I also really love this feature! :)
