Throwback Thursday #26: Nevermore by Kelly Creagh

Throwback Thursday is a bookish meme hosted every two weeks by me and Christina @ Booksane where we feature books that we've read in the past but are still crazy about. It could be a book you read as a child and still remember and love or maybe just a book that you haven't read in a long time and want to show your love for.
Each week we'll be featuring a new random question to answer!

Nevermore by Kelly Creagh
Nevermore #1
Young Adult ~ Paranormal
Read from April 22 to 26, 2012

Cheerleader Isobel Lanley is horrified when she is paired with Varen Nethers for an English project. Cold and aloof, sardonic and sharp-tongued, Varen makes it clear that he'd rather not have anything to do with her, either. But soon Isobel finds herself making excuses to be with Varen. Steadily pulled away from her freinds and possessive boyfriend, Isobel ventures deeper and deeper into the dream world Varen has created through the pages of his notebook, a realm where the terrifying shories of Edgar Allan Poe come to life. As her world begins to unravel around her, Isobel discovers that dreams, like words, hold more power than she ever imagned and that the most frightening realities are those of the mind. Can she save Varen from the madness taking hold of him? Or will they both be consumed by the shadows of his nightmares?

How I love this book! I'm so glad Jenn from Book Bird Reviews recommended it to me!
It's not only a beautifully written story with unique characters but it's also the book that got me to read Edgar Allan Poe. I'm seriously obsessed with him now and someday I WILL own the big ass book with all his stories in that's also featured in Nevermore. =D

Quote:
“You're really a blond," she said, her tone just short of accusatory.
"And if you tell anyone, I will come to you in the night and smote your everlasting soul.”

This is my favorite quote in the whole book. It's a scene with Isobel and Varen and I just love it. I really adore these two. <3

Question of this week:

What was your latest 5 star book?

Castle in the Air (Howl's Moving Castle #2) by Diana Wynne Jones

This book was FANTASTIC! I can't fangirl enough about it. I really couldn't put it down and was mind blown by some of the things happening in it. It's a very imaginitive book just like the first one, Howl's Moving Castle and who doesn't love that? Definitely a BIG recommedation to everyone!

Next question (May 28):
Which author have you read the most books from?
