Cupid was a good read. A really really good read. I flew through it in no time. And I'm still a little reeling from the way it ended. My god, it was intense and I can't wait to find out what's going to happen next. 

This story features the beautiful and intelligent Diana Carson. After the murders of her cheating husband and other rich men, Diana starts to investigate the homicides. With help from the seductive millionaire Asher Bishop she hopes to find the killer she nicknamed Cupid. But she soon finds out there's more to Asher than meets the eye.

The story really walked the fine line of disturbing and alluring. Sometimes it was even quite creepy. Even now I can't quite decide if I'm so fascinated by Asher because he was so ominous or because he was so enticing. It was probably a bit of both. There were a lot of times where I was thinking how crazy Asher seemed but then the next moment I'd be swooning for him.

I haven't entirely made up my mind about Diana. I mean, I like her. She's very smart, witty and pretty great to read about but I couldn't quite get a grasp on her yet. I hope to find out more about her in the next part. 

Jade Eby and Kenya Wright are both new authors to me but I have to say I was really impressed by this book. The writing was amazing and really drew me in. Especially the "Cupid" points of view were interesting to read for me. 

So would I recommend this book? Hell to the yes! It's a pretty dark story and I'm not sure if Cupid can be a redeemablecharacter but I'll absolutely keep following this story. The next book is so very much needed!

I read this book because I had just finished three stories in a row by Annika Martin, which were awesome. And I was pretty curious how this story would turn out since it's also written by Skye Warren, who was a unknown author to me. Also, I'm a fan of dark erotica type stories and I did really enjoy prisoner. 

The start was a bit slow for me but once Abby gets taken hostage by Grayson things started getting really exciting. At first I didn't like Abby much, to be honest. I guess she was a little bit too timid, though she and Grayson had chemistry from the start. But she does change a lot throughout the story. To me it seems like she was hiding who she really was for so long and when Grayson came along she can finally be herself. 

Which brings us to Grayson. It's safe to say that I effin' love him. He walks the fine line of being redeemable and not being redeemable but I had wanted him to be a little more darker inside, if that makes sense. I really like it when characters have darkness inside of them, it makes them so much more interesting. But that didn't change the fact that his point of view was my favorite. Sorry, Abby, but I can't help myself. Grayson is bad. So bad. And he knows it!

Both characters have secrets. Secrets and memories they can't forget. Grayson wants revenge and Abby wants to give in to her desires, even though she knows she should try to get away from Grayson, which she does try a few times. And it always ends badly. I also should mention that I liked Grayson's "brothers". They're not all very nice but I'm just so intrigued by them. 

The writing was fast-paced and read pretty easily. So that's all possitive for me. I just hate it when a book has bad writing, luckily not the case with this one. Oh and the sex scenes were scorching hot. I loved it!

Hot, action-packed, intense and intriguing, Prisoner by Annika Martin and Skye Warren was a great read. I really liked it and it's probably one of my favorites in this genre. There will be a sequel right?! 
Highly recommended to anyone who loves these kind of books!

This series has been one of the most surprising books I've read this year so far. I really love these characters so much and the story is pretty damn great. I read the books all one after the other, it was so addicting! And I wonder, will there be more books? I do hope so!

The Deeper Game, the third book in the series kicked things up a notch when a stalker threatens to ruin everything Isis has build with the god pack. In the meanwhile Isis tries to convince her guys that they don't have to keep robbing banks but they are hell-bent on getting revenge. When Isis receives an intimidating letter, Zeus, Odin and Thor really show how fierce and even kind of scary they can be. Throw in a lot of kinky sex and you have one hell of a book!

So this book was really intense. Like REALLY! There isn't just the excitement of planning to rob a big bank but also the threat of Isis' stalker. While reading I could never guess who exactly it would be. I mean, it could've been anyone so I was a bit surprised by who it was and how screwed up and psycho he turned out to be. Isis as always was a great character. I genuinely like her because she's so funny, honestly loves her three guys and just wants them all to be a family. 

And what can I say about the guys that I haven't said before? I love them ALL! To be honest, I never quite read a book like this about bank robbers and never thought them as hot but damn, I changed my mind the moment I read the first book. Zeus, Odin and Thor are some of the most sexy male characters I have read about, no question there! They were fiercely protective of Isis and quite agressive in this book. I just adore them!

Overall, The Deeper Game was sizzling hot, with fantastic writing, a great plot and just awesome.  I had a blast reading it and it's one of my favorites now (as are the other books). So highly recommended!

I rated The Wrong Turn with one star less than the first book because I enjoyed it slightly less. It was if I'm not mistaken shorter than the previous one and I just didn't feel like a lot happened in this one.

Although I wanted more in this book, it was still greatly written, funny and kinky as hell. I felt like there was more spotlight on Thor. He was showing a bit of a dark side because he was not okay with being a criminal, since he's a doctor and everything. Isis definitely noticed that because his out of control behavior showed in the last book also. I'm glad Thor didn't self-destruct or anything like that. Thankfully the other guys said that they would find a way for Thor to be a real doctor again. Phew!

As for Isis. I still adore her. She's easy to like, completely trusts Zeus, Odin and Thor, which makes for very steamy scenes. Two words: Kilt sex.
I also like that in the end she sees they can't really go on like this forever and that she wants to find a way to help them. So we'll see what the next book brings. I feel like I can't say too much about Zeus and Odin. Sure, they were in it a lot but not much happened with them as it was more about Thor. 

Overall, I really liked The Wrong Turn. A little short and too hasty for me, so not as good as the first book, The Hostage Bargain but it only makes me want to read the next book even more. I still very much recommend this book (and series)!

The Hostage Bargain was a lot better than I expected from a free Kindle book. A whole lot better! I actually ended up loving the story as it was hot, well-written and just so damn funny. So close to perfection!

The main character, Melinda, is kind of hard to explain. But don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved her and she was hilarious. She's a sheep farmer and kind of addicted to danger because she feels trapped at home, forced to work at a bank. Until that bank gets robbed and she gets taken hostage by three hot bank robbers, much to her delight. At first I was like, what? This is so unrealistic but I soon started getting more into it and loving it, obviously. 

Which brings us to the bankrobbers, who call themselves Zeus, Odin and Thor. I can't explain how much I love that. Seriously! Anyway, they take Melinda hostage but she soon manages to convince them to let her tag along for a little while. There's a condition, though. She has to obey the rules. And let me say that the rules involve kinky sex, lots of it! I loved all three guys, but I guess I liked Odin the best. He and his accent are just so hot. Thor was pretty fun too. Zeus was a  bit on the fence about Melinda (who calls herself Isis now) joining them due to personal issues and what happened in the past but in the end he came around.

The book isn't all sex and kink, though. It also has a lot of action, danger and of course let's not forget the humor. I laughed my ass off so many times, usually with Melinda/Isis. She was awesome and so different from the characters I usually read about, as were Zeus, Odin and Thor. Only the ending was wrapped up too quickly for me and I felt so bad for Melinda's sisters. 

I would recommend not to take this book too serious. It's funny, playful and scorching hot! Sometimes you just need a book that's light and quick to read. The Hostage Bargain was the perfect book for that!

Captive in the Dark started out as one of the best dark erotica books I had ever read. However... after the first 50% it was slowing down noticeably and I started liking it far less. I did still enjoy it but was a little frustrated by some of the actions of the characters and the way the story went.

What I liked the most about this book was the writing. Well, that and Caleb. ;) It was extremely well-written, something you don't see too much with this genre. I couldn't get enough of it. 

And Caleb? What can I say about him that hasn't been said before by others? He was immensely captivating, seductive and had a very dark side about him. He has a very tragic backstory. The things that were revealed about him were simply heartbreaking. But I felt like all those things made him that more interesting and believable. I loved him. At least in the first half of the book. 

Olivia on the other hand wasn't a favorite character of mine at all. Sure, I felt sorry for the girl and the things she went through but I couldn't like her. I wanted to, trust me, but she was a bit irritating to read about. I did like the scenes between her and Caleb most of the time but their relationship started bugging me because eventually Caleb fell too fast for her and started being too enarmored with her. I wanted the story and their relationship to be a bit darker and not all lovey dovey like it was in the end. 

Captive in the Dark was partly enjoyable and partly kind of frustrating. I'm not sure what it says about me but I had expected to to be a lot darker and it may have started out like that but it sure went downhill after the first half of the book. Still, it's a good book, in my opinion and I do want to read the second book, but I'm just not sure where it will go next with how it ended, which is causing me to be a bit uncertain about buying it... 

So I loved the writing, it was perfection and Caleb was an amazing character but the rest of the book left me a bit unsure. It's a quick story, though. I read it in less than 24 hours I think because I almost wasn't able to put it down. Definitely recommended!

I really liked this book although there were a few things in it that bothered me a bit but since I got this book for free, I don't think I can complain too much about it. It was not bad and as totally crazy as it was, I did love the story.

What I liked the most about this book was the revenge part. I just love a girl getting her revenge. In this case Juliette "Julz" Portland went through hell when she was only fifteen. Her father got framed and murdered while she herself got raped and and beaten bloody by Dornan Ross and his sons. Years later Juliette, who now is twenty-one and goes by Samantha "Sammi" is out for revenge, planning to killing them all. And wow, she sure goes all the way to get her revenge.

The thing I had the most issues with was how far Julz was willing to go to get her revenge. Plastic surgery and being the whore of Dornan Ross are just two examples of that. Also it wasn't very believable how a girl who got abused the way she did, would find her rapers and infiltrate them like that. But on the other hand, it's the craziness that makes it such a page-turner. 

I should also mention Jase, Dornan's youngest son. I'm not sure what to think about him yet. He has a connection with Julz but do I like him or not? Hmm, I don't know. There are parts where he's pretty nice but other parts where I'm thinking 'meh'. I'd love to read the second book to find out more about him and where the story goes next and most importantly who Julz kills next in her plan of revenge. I think it's going to get even more crazy and intense. Bring it on!

If I had any doubts up till now (which I certainly didn't have), it's so very clear after reading Debt Inheritance that Pepper Winters is the queen of dark, gritty and sensual books — She's the best and so good at what she does. 

Although brought up sheltered by a protective father and twin brother, Nila Weaver made a pretty good name for herself as a fashion designer and had just finished up a successful show. I really liked reading about her. She was funny, unconvential and protected — until she met Jethro Hawk. It's obvious she was very intrigued and captivated by him. Who wouldn't be? At least until she found out what Jethro's really about. He was cold, frightening, powerful and loyal to his corrupt family. If you're hoping for redeeming qualities, there are none (so far). Of course I loved him. 

The secondary characters were also very interesting to read about. I'd like to know more about them. From Jethro's brothers to Nila's family to the mysterious Kite007 who sends Nila dirty texts. Seriously, who is he? He must be important to the story, I'm sure of it. Pepper Winters has always been good in creating fascinating side characters that I want to get to know more. It's what I'm used to with her books. I love it.

This six hundred year debt where the Hawks essentially own the Weaver women, was a pretty intriguing concept to me. Evil but intriguing. I'm sure there's so much more to find out about this debt and I can't wait to find out along with Nila. Just like Pepper Winters's other books, this one was full of dark, dirty and erotic elements. This is definitely not a story for the faint hearted. Be warned. I, personally loved it of course. I pretty much devour books like these and Debt Inheritance was no exception. 

I honestly hadn't expected this book to end so soon. I mean, It's pretty clear that this is a slightly shorter book so I read it pretty fast. But still,  I wasn't ready for the ending, especially not that ending. Wow! 

I still have so much questions. There's a lot left unanswered, which I'm sure will be explained in the next books. I especially want to know more about the debt and what the Weavers did exactly to earn a punishment like that. Obviously I want to know more about Jethro, too. About his past, his childhood, his likes and dislikes... heck, I want to know everything. Also, I'm strangely interested in Nila's twin brother. There's something about him that I can't quite put my finger on. And I don't think it's good. And most importantly, who is Kite007? 

Debt Inheritance was good. Really good. Incredible even. I was extremely engrossed in it and barely put it down. I actually read it in only two sittings. So yeah, to say I loved it is definitely an understatement. Everything about this book was excellent. The characters — interesting, enigmatic and sinful. The writing — Descriptive, gripping and captivating. The world of debts and payments — dark, wicked and erotic. Overall, a damn good book with a killer cliffhanger that makes me crave the next book more than anything!
