Stacking The Shelves: October 20 2018

Stacking The Shelves is a weekly bookish feature hosted @ Tynga's Reviews & Reading Reality.

Won:
Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik
I won this book on a Twitter giveaway by Soknou King. It arrived damaged from The Book Depository with pages that were loose and ripped (wtf) but luckily they're sending me a replacement copy. ^_^

Bought:
How the Dukes Stole Christmas by Tessa Dare, Sarah MacLean, Sophie Jordan and Joanna Shupe
I absolutely can't wait to read this but I will try to hold off until December! :D

Absinthe of the Heart by Monica James
Bought for only 99 cents. I love this author!

I hope you will all have a great weekend and happy reading! ♥

  6. Congrats on the win! Urgh, I hate it when books arrive damaged, I am usually able to exchange them for a new copy but it somehow puts me off reading those books for a while, no matter how excited I was about reading it at first. I would like to know your thoughts on Spinning Silver, though! I really want to get it too!

    Have a wonderful week!

  9. I definitely have no complaints about their customer service. They reordered it pretty quickly for me. :)

  10. Not sure if it was send damaged by accident or it got damaged somehow after it was send (my mailman wasn't very nice to the package either I know) but at least I'm getting a new one. :D

  11. I've read all authors (aside from Joanna) before and I've always enjoyed their previous work so I'm very excited!

  13. How NICE that you won "Spinning Silver"!!!! CONGRATS!!! It's too bad that it arrived damaged, but TBD has excellent customer service, so I'm not surprised they're sending you a replacement copy. I've just added this book to my Goodreads shelves! I NEED to read this author!! :) :)
