In the irresistibly sexy series from #1 New York Times bestselling author Jennifer L. Armentrout, two free spirits find their lives changed by a one-night stand…

Some things you just believe in, even if you've never experienced them. For Stephanie, that list includes love. It's out there. Somewhere. Eventually. Meanwhile she's got her job at the mixed martial arts training center and hot flings with gorgeous, temporary guys like Nick. Then a secret brings them closer, opening Steph's eyes to a future she never knew she wanted—until tragedy rips it away.

Nick's self-assured surface shields a past no one needs to know about. His mind-blowing connection with Steph changes all that. As fast as he's knocking down the walls that have kept him commitment-free, she's building them up again, determined to keep the hurt—and Nick—out. But he can't walk away. Not when she's the only one who's ever made him wish for forever...

After reading Forever with You I can honestly say that Forever with You is my favorite book in this series. And I'm not just saying that because the main character is named Stephanie. ;) No, this story was simply amazing and really touched me. I even cried, and that's a pretty big deal with books for me.

This book features Stephanie and Nick. If there's any two people who are just meant to be it's these two, in my opinion. In fact, I think they were perfect for one another. It all started with a one night stand that turned into something more. I really liked reading about Steph. We read about her before in the other books where she appeared at times so it was nice to finally get inside her head.

Nick was also interesting to get to know. He was always a bit mysterious. But damn, I love him so much after reading this book. He really is a sweet and caring guy + him and Steph had some seriously hot chemistry going on. Whew!

I literally couldn't stop reading this book. I even forgot to eat dinner because I wanted to finish it so badly. This book is definitely more emotional than the others were. There were times where I just knew where the story was heading and even though I guessed what would happen I felt devastated. This story sure was a tearjerker. But that's what made the book so amazing - the emotion it evoked in me.

Jennifer L. Armentrout really did hit the jackpot with this book. I really think it's the best book in the series (so far...) because it was steamy, the pace was just right, it was touching and the characters in it were simply amazing. Bravo!

Review: Dream of You by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Title: Dream of You
Author: Jennifer L. Armentrout
Series: Wait for You #4.5

Publication: June 23rd 2015 by Evil Eye Concepts, Incorporated
Genre: New Adult ~ Contemporary Romance
Purchase: Amazon
Rating: 4/5

Abby Erickson isn't looking for a one-night stand, a relationship, or anything that involves any one-on-one time, but when she witnesses a shocking crime, she's thrust into the hands of the sexiest man she's ever seen - Colton Anders. His job is to protect her, but with every look, every touch, and every simmering kiss, she's in danger of not only losing her life but her heart also.

Jennifer L. Armentrout never disappoints. At least she hasn't so far for me. Dream of You is yet another great addition to the Wait for You series.

This story is about Abby Erickson and Colton Anders (Yep! Reece's brother!). They knew each other in high school from a distance. And although Abby had a boyfriend all through high school they did notice each other back then. They crossed paths again when Abby witnesses a murder and Colton has to protect her.

One of the things that I loved about this book —and I'm fairly sure other readers loved as well — is that it featured a main character that wasn't a perfect girl. We really need this more in the new adult genre. Abby had quite some insecurities, which I think, a lot of women can relate to. At least I did.

Abby really was great character to read about, also because she's an editor mostly for indie authors and quite a lot authors got mentioned too. I love that JLA did that. She's such a rockstar!

Colton was in one word swoonworthy. Damn them Anders brothers!  But he was also really caring and sweet towards Abby. I adored him and Abby together. They were perfect.

With 131 pages this novella is on the shorter side (compared to the full books). Sometimes novellas can feel a little rushed because they're shorter than novels but this wasn't the case at all with story. Although I finished it quickly, it felt like a nice solid book.

Overall, Dream of You wasn't quite a full four stars but it was really amazing in so many ways. It was short, yes, but Jennifer L. Armentrout really did create a full story, in my opinion. Abby was such a relatable character, as I'm sure she is for a lot of people and Colton (a.k.a. the unicorn) brought out a smile on my face more than once. Really, this series just keeps adding to my book boyfriends list. Love it!

       Quotes:
“There’s nothing more powerful than the written word. It can transfer you to a place that exists right now that you’ll never get to visit or it can take you to a world that doesn’t. It can show you things you’ll never experience otherwise in life, and books… most importantly, they can take you out of your own world, and sometimes you need that.”

“The thing was, Colton was confident and self-assured, maybe even a little cocky, but he wasn't arrogant. He was like a unicorn.”

“One of the things you never really see in a romance book is a woman who has self-esteem issues. I mean, I’m sure they’re out there, but they’re few and far between. Like they can have eating disorders, post-traumatic stress from sexual assault or mental abuse. They can be sold into sex trafficking and they can carry epic amounts of grief. We have female characters who have suffered every loss imaginable and ones who are scarred physically and mentality, but where in the hell are the average women? Ones who look in the mirror and cringe a little? Like, why are all those others acceptable to women, but reading or knowing another woman who has a low self-esteem is, like, worse than all that drama llama?”

Review: Fall with Me by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Title: Fall with Me

Eleven months ago, bartender and weird-shirt-wearing extraordinaire Roxy and Officer Reece Anders had a one night stand. Well, kind of. She’s been in love with him since she was fifteen, and he wishes that night they shared never happened. She’s sworn him off forever, but the past and future collide, forcing her to rely on the one man who broke her heart not once, but twice.

Her best friend since birth has been in a long-term care facility since he became a victim of a hate crime years ago, and the person who put him in there is out of prison and wanting to make amends with him and Roxy. She’s not sure she has room for forgiveness in her and when she begins to receive frightening messages and is on the receiving end of escalating violence, she thinks she knows who is to blame. The man who already destroyed one life already.

But Reece isn’t convinced. The threats are too personal, and even if Roxy doesn’t believe him, he’s not willing to let anyone hurt her. Including himself. He’s already messed up more than once when it comes to Roxy and he’s not going to let history repeat itself.

“I’m scared, too. And there are times I question what I deserve, but we’re in this together. So fall with me.”

Fall with Me was great! To be honest, I'm not sure what to say more that I haven't said about the other books except that it was my second favorite book in the series. I loved it.

Roxy is one cool chick who made for an awesome main character + she rocks her glasses and awesome shirts. I loved her relationship with Reece - they had chemistry, a past and they were actually good friends once. And Reece was just smoking hot. Who doesn't love a man in uniform? And he's also good and dedicated to his job.

This book is not only steamy romance, witty conversations and Roxy and Reece trying to work things out between them. There was also a lot of suspense. I liked this but I felt like Roxy should've told people sooner what was going on at her apartment. Those things were just creepy as hell.

Another thing I adored were the references to Ghost Hunters, Ghost Adventures, Doctor Who, etc... This is just a personal quirk of mine but I love all those shows so it made this book even better. Gotta love JLA for that!

Another thing, I always love it when the characters from the other books make an appearance. It's always fun to know what's going on with them. I really enjoyed that and it made me smile.

Overall, this was just a great book. I love this series, these characters and JLA always keeps me hooked. Bring on the next book!

Review: Stay with Me by J. Lynn

Title: Stay with Me

Series: Wait for You #3
Publication: September 23rd 2014 by William Morrow Paperbacks
Genre: New Adult ~ Contemporary Romance
Purchase: Amazon | Barnes & Noble
Rating: 4/5

From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Wait for You and Be with Me comes a daring tale that pushes boundaries . . .

At 21, Calla hasn't done a lot of things. She’s never been kissed, never seen the ocean, never gone to an amusement park. But growing up, she witnessed some things no child ever should. She still carries the physical and emotional scars of living with a strung-out mother, Mona—secrets she keeps from everyone, including her close circle of college friends.

But the safe cocoon Calla has carefully built is shattered when she discovers her mom has stolen her college money and run up a huge credit card debt in her name. Now, Calla has to go back to the small town she thought shed left behind and clean up her mom’s mess again. Of course, when she arrives at her mother’s bar, Mona is nowhere to be found. Instead, six feet of hotness named Jackson James is pouring drinks and keeping the place humming.

Sexy and intense, Jax is in Calla’s business from they moment they meet, giving her a job and helping her search for Mona. And the way he looks at her makes it clear he wants to get horizontal . . . and maybe something more. Before Calla can let him get close, though, she’s got to deal with the pain of the past—and some very bad guys out to mess her up if she doesn't give them her mom.

Although I didn't completely love it, Stay With Me was a good book. Calla has a great story to tell and Jax was a fantastic character.

I'm not sure in which book Calla got introduced originally but I never really paid any attention to her. So I'm glad she got her own book, so we all could get to know her better. She turned out to be a likable character in the end but initially, I wasn't impressed because of her low self-imagine and constantly asking Jax why he could like her. I do get it why she was portayed that way but after the first few times of doubting herself it got a little old.

Which brings us to Jax. Holy bartender hotness! That man was sexy. After Jase and Ollie, he's probably my favorite guy of the bunch. He's different because he's the bartender (among other things) at the bar where Calla grew up. He's older and more mature yet very naughty and I love him to death! I loved his "when I want something, I go for it" attitude.

The romantic scenes in one word were simply wicked. There's a lot more to this story than just the romance of course but damn, they were so hot. Jax has got some skills! But like I said there's a lot more to the story, there's some themes involved like drug abuse and how it can really screw people (like Calla's mom) up. At times it was a little hard to read everything Calla went through when she was younger but I thought it made the story a little deeper.

As usually with a book by J. Lynn (otherwise known as Jennifer L. Armentrout), there were a bunch of great secondary characters that I couldn't help but adore. I loved everyone working at Mona's (the bar). They were all awesome to read about. I also really liked Katie who works across the street at a strip bar. She was a hoot! Of course the familiar bunch of characters made appearances too. We get to see Cam, Avery, Teresa, Jase, Ollie, etc... And even Raphael or was it Michelangelo? Anyway, it was fantastic seeing everyone again.

So overall, Stay with Me was another great addition to the Wait for You series. J. Lynn always manages to capture my attention with her books, making me laugh one moment and wanting to cry the next. Yet I love her books and this one was an almost perfect one once again!

Review: Be with Me by J. Lynn

Title: Be with Me
Author: J. Lynn
Series: Wait for You #2
Publication: February 4th 2014 by HarperCollins
Genre: New Adult
Cover Rating: 5/5
Overall Rating: 5/5

Teresa Hamilton is having a rough year—she’s in love with her big brother’s best friend, but he hasn’t spoken to her since they shared a truly amazing, mind-blowing, change-your-life kiss. She got out of a terrible relationship. And now an injury is threatening to end her dance career for good. It’s time for Plan B – college. And maybe a chance to convince Jase that what they have together is real.

Jase Winstead has a huge secret that he’s not telling anyone. Especially not his best friend’s incredibly beautiful sister. Even though he and Teresa shared the hottest kiss of his life, he knows that his responsibilities must take priority. He certainly doesn’t have time for a relationship. But it doesn’t help that all he can think about kissing the one girl who could ruin everything for him.

As they’re thrown together more and more, Jase and Tess can’t keep denying their feelings for each other. But a familiar danger looms and tragedy strikes. As the campus recovers, the star-crossed couple must decide what they’re willing to risk to be together, and what they’re willing to lose if they’re not…

I'm going to jump right in and say that I loved Be with Me. I actually think it's the best in the series so far. It was even better than Wait for You and Trust in Me combined. Yes, I might be fangirling a little too hard. How does Jennifer L. Armentrout keep doing this?

I just loved both Teresa and Jase so much. Especially together were they perfection. Sure Jase pissed me off a little. Okay, a lot... but I didn't seem to care because, well, he's Jase. I was crushing badly on him while reading. But anyway, he and Teresa (or Tess as Jase calls her) had something very special. I enjoyed reading about their relationship that was finally happening. The book was also full of hilarious moments. I lost count of how many times I laughed out loud with it.

Of course it wasn't all romance and hot scenes. Although those scenes were so so great. There was also some drama with Teresa's roommate Deb that I think was done nicely to give it some excitement. Bonus points for JLA!

And as a little extra we had some appearances of Cam and Avery that hinted at some exciting stuff that's been happening to them. Also I loved the mystery around Jase's "little brother" Jack. Though I already guessed what was going on with that back in Wait for You but even so I really liked this twist.

Yet another amazing by written by J. Lynn (Jennifer L. Armentrout) that I loved. The woman is like a writing robot. She keeps going and writing fantastic books. Be with Me is definitely a favorite of mine now and I can't wait to read the next one! Bring it on!

Favorite Quotes:
"You think my ass is cute?"
He pulled away, laughing. "Baby, your ass is like my own personal holy ground."
Sinewy muscles in his arms flexed as he lifted Jack out of the driver's seat, holding him into the air above his head. He spun arond in a circle, laughing deeply as Jack shrieked and flailed.
Ovaries go boom.
No matter how irritated I was with him or how badly I wanted to karate kick him between the legs, when he laughed, it was like the sun was shining in my eyes.

ARC Review: Trust in Me by J. Lynn

Title: Trust in Me
Author: J. Lynn
Series: Wait for You #1.5
Publication:  October 22nd 2013 by William Morrow Impulse
Genre: New Adult
Format: e-arc from Edelweiss
Cover Rating: 5/5
Overall Rating: 4/5

Review copy provided by publisher in exchange for an honest review.

It’s Wait for You as you’ve never seen it. Trust in Me lets you in on Cam’s side of the #1 New York Times Bestselling story.

Cameron Hamilton is used to getting what he wants, especially when it comes to women. But when Avery Morgansten comes crashing into his life – literally – he finally meets the one person who can resist his soulful baby blues. But Cam’s not ready to give up. He can’t get the feisty and intriguing girl out of his head.

Avery has secrets, secrets that keep her from admitting the feelings Cam knows she has for him. Will persistence (and some delicious homemade cookies) help him break down her barriers and gain her trust? Or will he be shut out of Avery's life, losing his first real shot at the kind of love that lasts forever?

~My Thoughts:

First of all, I would give this book 4.5 stars if I could because I liked it a bit more than Wait for You.
Second, I never read a book that followed the same story but in a different point of view so this is is a first for me.
So, receiving this book for review from Edelweiss had me squealing a little bit. Okay, it had me squealing a lot. I was so glad that I got it, that I dove into it pretty much right away. And I regret nothing!

Trust in Me gives us a chance to get inside of Cam's head. *swoons*. I loved to read about what he was thinking and trust me, it was a whole lot. Cam is a lot to handle even when I was just reading about him. But anyway... with reading Wait for You not too long ago the story was still fresh in my head but still there were some things that even when it was the same scenes as in Wait for You, I didn't expect. I was surprised by some of Cam's reactions and thoughts to both Avery and other things. I definitely saw a new side of him. He's even more amazing than I initially thought. At first with Wait for You when he kept asking Avery out I thought it was more playfulness on his side but I've learned that soon the playfulness, although not totally has faded away, he was more serious about her than I thought. We not only learn more about himself and what he really thoughts about everything going down with every but we also see a lot more about Jase and Ollie. I would lie if maybe learning more about Cam's friends wasn't a little bit favorite aspects of this book. It made me so excited for the upcoming books that will feature them.
Also... Teresa and Jase? SUPER CUTE!

The scenes that were new in this book were my favorites because I kept learning new things about Cam, his world, his friend, everything. Those were probably the things that kept me going. Though I must admit that I book like this that's being retold isn't my favorite in the whole wide world of books but it was nice to have been inside Cam's head. Were it any other less interesting (and hot) character than him or any other authors than Jennifer, I probably would've rated it less stars. But the thing with Jennifer is, she keeps you entertained, even with a book where the story is so familiar it was rocking. The woman just keeps going and going, writing awesome books, doesn't she? Gotta love her!

So in short, Trust in Me was a really great book. I loved being in Cam's head and seeing the whole story in his eyes. I was entertained the whole time and am now even more excited for the upcoming books in this series. I can't wait to find out more about these characters I know and love! Another awesome book by J. Lynn and I'm sure there's more to come.

Avery was such a mystery to me; a paradox of innocence and allure—a mystery I was determined to solve.

Title: Wait for You
Author: J. Lynn
Series: Wait for You #1
Publication: February 26th 2013
Genre: New Adult
Format: e-book, 332 pages
Cover Rating: 5/5

Some things are worth waiting for…

Traveling thousands of miles from home to enter college is the only way nineteen-year-old Avery Morgansten can escape what happened at the Halloween party five years ago—an event that forever changed her life. All she needs to do is make it to her classes on time, make sure the bracelet on her left wrist stays in place, not draw any attention to herself, and maybe—please God—make a few friends, because surely that would be a nice change of pace. The one thing she didn’t need and never planned on was capturing the attention of the one guy who could shatter the precarious future she’s building for herself.

Some things are worth experiencing…

Cameron Hamilton is six feet and three inches of swoon-worthy hotness, complete with a pair of striking blue eyes and a remarkable ability to make her want things she believed were irrevocably stolen from her. She knows she needs to stay away from him, but Cam is freaking everywhere, with his charm, his witty banter, and that damn dimple that’s just so… so lickable. Getting involved with him is dangerous, but when ignoring the simmering tension that sparks whenever they are around each other becomes impossible, he brings out a side of her she never knew existed.

Some things should never be kept quiet…

But when Avery starts receiving threatening emails and phone calls forcing her to face a past she wants silenced, she’s has no other choice but to acknowledge that someone is refusing to allow her to let go of that night when everything changed. When the devastating truth comes out, will she resurface this time with one less scar? And can Cam be there to help her or will he be dragged down with her?

And some things are worth fighting for…

~My Thoughts:

So, first of all I need to say that I love all books by this author, except maybe for Frigid. I wasn't too thrilled about that one. And that was my first new adult book I read by her. But I must say that Wait For You is a 1000 times better. Already the first chapter in it was way better than the whole book of Frigid. With that said, I must als admit that Wait For You wasn't flawless at all but it was definitely not a disappointment.

In Wait For You we meet a nineteen-year-old Avery who has moved across the country to attend collage and to get away from her home and everything that happened there five years ago. It's there that she meets Cam, who happens to live not only in her apartment building, but also right next to her, with his roommate and pet turtle, Raphael. It's not long before something beautiful grows between the two...
But Avery can't seem to let go of her past and soon it starts to stand in the way between her and Cam. Will she be able to trust in him or will she run away from him?

Wait For You isn't the best new aduly book I have ever read but it was pretty damn great and I read in like a day.
J. Lynn's writing always manages to entertain me from start to end and her stories never get boring.
However... I had come across some negative points. First and the most important one being Avery and my dislike of her. She frustrated me most of the time. The way she would refust to trust Cam while he had told her his big secret and that had been hard for him, too. Besides, I just didn't like Avery all that much as a person. Even when we finally find out what happened to her, which was drawn out for too long.
My second negative point is all the typos and errors in the writing. There were quite a lot of them and I know for a fact that it has also been bothering other people too. I just would expect better from an author like J. Lynn.
But all bitching and complaining aside, I really liked this book. Not the author's best book, but not her worst either and definitely a favorite of mine.

Let's talk about Cam (finally). I. Love. Him. So. Much. From his blue eyes, to his one dimple, to the way he always cooks Avery eggs on Sunday, to his overall amazingness. I she my favorite book guy from Jennifer's books? No. But, damn it, if I wasn't swooning everytime he appeared in the story. And how cute was Raphael?! Turtles and eggs definitely have a new more awesome meaning to me now (and I so want a turtle also!).
As for the other characters, there were a bunch that I loved. Like Avery's freinds, Brittany and Jacob. Especially Jacob was a hoot!
I also really liked Cam's roommate and family. Cam's parents were awesome and I love how kind they were to Avery. Cam's sister was great, too. I wonder what it is with that family and being awesome...
Anyway, even though I'm not Avery's biggest fan, the other characters definitely made up for it.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed Wait For You by J. Lynn. It was an entertaining new adult books that I absolutely enjoyed even with the flaws it had. I would definitely recommend it.

"Maybe it is." He tugged on my bag again as he took a confident step back, forcing me down another step. "And just think about it. If cookie was a code word, whatever it symbolizes, it's been in your mouth, sweetheart."
"As long as the sun’s shining, shit can’t be that bad."
People got out of the way for Cam. He was like a hot Moses, parting a sea of drunk college students.
