This week's topic:
Top Ten Most Unique Books I've Read

~In no particular order~

Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson
This book was gorgeous. And it's so unique because the story is being told by Tinker Bell's perspective. It was unlike any book I've read.

Wither by Lauren DeStefano
Wither is one of my favorite dystopian books. I know a lot of people dislike it because of the whole sister wives thing but that's just what makes this book so unique.

Every Day by David Levithan
I don't have to tell anyone who's also read Every Day how unique it is, with the whole waking up in a different body every day thing. It's one of my personal favorites.

Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor
I read this book pretty recently and it's definitely one of the more unique ones I've read in a while. It's mostly set in Prague, it features chimaera and the writing is pretty good too.

The Golden Apple by Michelle Diener
This one is unique because it's an adult fairy tale retelling and it's based on a norwegian fairy tale. I haven't seen much of those yet.

Charming by Elliott James
God, I loved this book. The main character was awesome. He was a werewolf out of the Charming (knights!) line. Just fantastic!

Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi
I just love Tahereh's writing style. Very unique to say the least!

Nevermore by Kelly Creagh
Ahhh, this book! The whole connection to Poe is brilliant.

Dust by Devon Ashley
I had never read a book about pixies until this one. Lots about faeries, but pixies? Not so much. I loved it.

Lover, Divine by A. Star
Unconventional romance story = much love! Also, greek mythology. Gotta love it. And Apollo! Don't forget about Apollo.

  1. Tiger Lily was definitely unique, including how Wendy's character was portrayed. Wither also had a unique prose, but the writing wasn't for me, sadly. Shatter Me had such wonderful writing! Great picks, Stephanie.

  2. Nevermore made my list, too! It's such an awesome book. Both Shatter Me and Wither are on my TBR. I haven't heard of Dust before, but that cover is so beautiful! Great list!

  3. I loved Wither and have read it a couple times but I'm not a fan of Sever. I just don't like how that series ended. Great list.

  4. I didn't think to add Wither to my list and it's one of my favourites! I knew I'd miss a lot of unique books. I'm reading Daughter of Smoke and Bone at the moment, I think I'm the only blogger that hasn't read it yet!

  7. Great list :) The only one that I have read is Every Day and I must admit that I really didn't like it, that one just wasn't for me. My TTT.
