Katy knows the world changed the night the Luxen came.
She can't believe Daemon welcomed his race or stood by as his kind threatened to obliterate every last human and hybrid on Earth. But the lines between good and bad have blurred, and love has become an emotion that could destroy her—could destroy them all.
Daemon will do anything to save those he loves, even if it means betrayal.
They must team with an unlikely enemy if there is any chance of surviving the invasion. But when it quickly becomes impossible to tell friend from foe, and the world is crumbling around them, they may lose everything— even what they cherish most—to ensure the survival of their friends…and mankind.
War has come to Earth. And no matter the outcome, the future will never be the same for those left standing.
I can't say if this book is my favorite in the series, but I still thought it was amazing and loved it so much. It was an intense book for sure with the Luxen invading and Katy and Daemon being apart for a little while. I didn't know what to expect starting this book but whoa, it was so crazy!
Every character in this series made a huge change from where they started. Katy was simply badass in this book. She changed a lot and it's not really surprising considering everything she went through. I still love the girl to pieces, though. Inside she's still the same booknerd we all feel so connected to. Daemon went through a lot too and but he also is the same guy we all fell for in the first book. His love for Katy is so powerful that he would literally die for her. I just love them together so much.
As always I really enjoyed reading about the secondary characters. Archer was by favorite by far. I just love the scenes with him and Daemon. I also loved how he and Katy got closer also. He's just awesome. And he's pretty cute together with Dee. Speaking of, Dee was probably the hardest to read about because she was kind of under control of the Luxen so that made for some cringe-worthy scenes. I'm glad everyting got worked out in the end with her. Phew. And of course Luc is always a great character to read about and let's not forget my favorite Arum, Hunter. I was so glad when he made an appearance. Yay.
The story was full of unexpected twists. You just never know what would happen or if people were going to survive. I'm not going to spoil the book and say who might survive or not but I'm pretty shocked by some stuff. Anyway, this book was really good but the epilogue was kind of hard to read because it made me realize it's the end. Goodbye wonderful characters and awesome storyline.
Overall, the perfect ending to a perfect series. I never thought I would love aliens so much but Jennifer L. Armentrout made it happen. It's my favorite series by her and I think this always will be the case. Opposition was non-stop kickass action, swoony romance and nailbiting suspense. You will be missed, Daemon Black!

I just finished the series and I have to say that it is one of my favourites so far! I was so sad when I read the last book! One cause the series ended and second is because of the deaths. I am still patching up hole in my heart from one of the deaths. Also, I love reading your reviews!
