Caros are what vampires used to be. We are slaves to pleasure, power turns us on, and each and every one of us has a weakness to hide.

All things sparkly and beautiful are 18-year-old Caylie Sonora’s greatest source of pleasure, and no one is more irresistibly gorgeous and seductive in her eyes than the quiet and old-fashioned Luka. All the girls in school want to belong to him, craving both his body and authority. They say that behind closed doors his coldly charming manners disappear, leaving behind a guy who’d take you so hard you’d be breathless and panting for more. But if Caylie has her way, all she’d take from him is revenge, using her body to break his heart.

The most carnal of passions is the only chink in 19-year-old Luka Georgiades’ armor, but his obsession has only always ever to do with Caylie, whose body he desires to possess, in every imaginable position. The half-human Luka may be his race’s most cunning defender, with murderously precise skills and an even deadlier mind, but even Luka is powerless against fate, which forces him to hurt the girl who’s his everything…again and again.

They are each other’s weakness, and the game of love has never been so destructive.

~My Thoughts:

When author, Marian Tee, asked me to review her new book, Suit & Fangs, of course I said yes. I loved her other book, Drawn, so I really wanted to read and review this, too. So thanks Marian!

Suit & Fangs is a really quick read. I love quick reads. It reads fast and is quite entertaining as a whole. Though I was sometimes confused with some parts of the story, especially at the start, trying to keep up with all the information that was thrown at me, I did like it.

There were some interesting characters but I must say I wasn't Caylie's too biggest fan at first because she's very spoiled (she says so herself!) and kind of shallow sometimes but as the story went on I found her easier to read about as I got to know her better.
Luka (gods, I love that name! ^^) on the other hand I really liked. How could I not? I'll admit, I wasn't too sure about him at first because he seemed too serious all the time but also as I got to know him better, I started to love him more and more.
The two of them together was perfection. The romantic scenes were simply sizzling with heat. Loved it! I must say Marian writes awesome love scenes.
As for the other characters the ones I liked the most were Caylie's friends, Ever and Sabina. They seemed like great friends to Caylie. :-)

The overal plot of the story wasn't too great but not awful either. I'm feel like I'm in a in between with everything. I like it alright but it's not the best I have ever read. But even so I'm definitely not regretting to have read this book. It has a great and different take on vampires, one I have never read about before so that's really great on its own.

All in all, Suit & Fangs by Marian Tee is a steamy paranormal romance with a very original take on the vampire genre. If you like vampires, steamy romance, danger and excitement, you should definitely try this book out!

Favorite Quotes:
What the hell had he been doing the past two years or so that he had become so powerful, so dazzling it was like he had swallowed an entire star and absorbed all its energy.
"You were like a brother to me," I said brokenly. "A kindred soul even though we're completely different. You made me think you loved me back, but you didn't. You threw me away so easily."

Review: Drawn by Marian Tee

Title: Drawn
Author: Marian Tee
Series: Good Girls with Secrets #1
Publication: December 5th 2012 by Faith C. Martin
Genre: Young Adult - Contemporary Romance
Format: e-book
Cover Rating: 4/5
Overal Rating: 4/5
Senior student Katerina “KC” Chariot is a good girl with a secret. She’s so nice she has an impossible time swearing unless she’s using pretty British cuss words. She also likes to fantasize about hot guys in her school. But it’s for work. Really. Katerina is an aspiring mangaka, and she needs “inspiration” for drawing smutty scenes.

Unfortunately, one particular fantasy about the Japanese-Russian transfer student Yuki Himura gets the better of her. She ends up unconsciously moaning his name – in Yuki’s presence, too. In a twist of fate, Katerina finds herself agreeing to become Yuki’s secret toy, which sounds a lot worse than it actually is- especially in the eyes of her Theology-professor dad.

The whole school thinks of Yuki as the ideal guy – gorgeous, smart, and sweet. But with Katerina, he’s the Devil sent to torment her, seduce her, and – worst of all – he’s making her fall in love with him even though he's said it’s the one thing she should never ever do.

~My thoughts:

Oh. Em. Gee. I freaking loved this! I am so glad the author send me her book and that I accepted it for review. So a huuuuuuuuuge thanks to Marian Tee! :D

Before starting this book I thought what will I get myself into this time? My friend Jenn (from Simply Young Adult) had already read the book and loved it so I was pretty sure I was going to love it myself, but still there were some doubts as there always are (which are totally gone now, by the way).

Right from the start I loved it. To me it had a little bit of a  Fifty Shades kinda feel. And yes, this is a good thing because I loved Fifty Shades of Grey. Yuki definitely reminded me of a mini Christian. So darn cute! But Drawn wasn't all Fifty Shades, it's a book all of its own. So original and fast paced and so hot!
So, yes, I have a new book boyfriend and his name is Yuki. I loved that he was half japanese/half russian! How can you not love Yuki? It's no wonder KC fell hard for him. I even fell for him! I was really sad for the crap he goes through with his family, especially his awful mother! She's so horrible... *shudders*

I am not into manga at all but I found myself enjoying all the references around it. I did not understand all of it but I'm definitely intrigued. I would like to read some, may it be smutty or not. ;)

Our heroine, KC (Katerina), was really fun to read about. I really liked her. I loves that she draws manga, so that's got cool point only for being able to do that. She was kinda spunky, but in other ways definitely innocent. And the one thing that always made me laugh was that when she gets mad and starts cussing she goes all brit. Bloody hilarious!

You can probably guess that Yuki was my favorite character but I also immensely enjoyed some of the more side characters like KC's best friend. She was really fun! I also loved Jace, who draws graphic novels. He was hilarious. I loves how he got punched in the face trying to protect KC from it.
KC's parents in my eyes were kinda weird (in a good way though). Definitely not what you expect of normal parents. Especially her mom. Funny woman she was. lol.

So overal, I was really impressed by how good this story was. Not only the sexy, dirty scenes, which were pretty awesome alone but the emotional part of this book was really well written also. I can't wait to read more in this series.

I really liked it!
