Monthly Wrap-Up — February 2020

Yay to the second wrap-up of the year. I enjoyed pretty much all the books I've read in February so once again had a good reading month. I only was a little bit disappointed by The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. It was fine but I was expecting better. Also wasn't a fan of Dark and Deepest Red, obviously since I had to DNF it. But I read a Eoin Colfer and Pepper Winters book in the same month so that made it all good.

Dark and Deepest Red by Anna-Marie McLemore (Audiobook) — DNF (My review)
A Plump of Woodcocks by Suanne Laquer — 4/5 (My Review)
The Minuteman by Greg Donahue (Audiobook) — 4/5(Review to come)

Highfire by Eoin Colfer — 4/5★ (Review to come)
Once a Myth by Pepper Winters — 4/5★ (My review)
How Languages Saved Me: A Polish Story of Survival by Tadeusz Haska & Stefanie Naumann — 4/5★ (Review to come)

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid — 3/5★ (Review to come)
Psyche Unbound by Zenobia Neil — 3.5/5★ (Review to come)

Favorite book of the month:

“There was a boy once. A boy who wasn’t strong enough to save me when I was taken.”
“There was a girl once. A girl called Tess Snow who sat with me in the dark waiting to be sold.”
“There was an owner once. An owner who bought me, entrapped me, and made me his unwilling goddess.”

Eleanor Grace is a naïve dreamer. Trusting and young, she believes her book-loving boyfriend can save her when her freedom is snatched and sold. Squirreled away to an island at midnight, delivered to a man even darkness won’t touch, she’s bound by a contract.

Four men.
Four fantasies.
Four pieces of her soul.

Sullivan Sinclair is the giver of fantasies. Any wish, any desire—he is the master at quenching even the filthiest appetites. His private paradise and perfectly trained goddesses are there for one purpose: to ensure every guest is extremely well satisfied.

He bought her.
He trapped her.
She belongs to him.

This month I'm not really surprised that Once a Myth by Pepper Winters ended up as my favorite book. Pepper's dark romance books are the best and I'm so glad she finally returned to the genre. Also can't wait for the sequel coming March 24th!
