Stacking The Shelves: February 16, 2019

Stacking The Shelves is a weekly bookish feature hosted @ Tynga's Reviews & Reading Reality.

It's been a while since I did a STS post but I got some great books this week that I wanted to share with you all. 😊

Anarchy Found by J.A. Huss
Rock F*ck Club by Michelle Mankin
King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo
Stain by A.G. Howard

I won Rock F*ck Club from Lexxie @ (un)Conventional Bookworms some time ago and Lexxie was nice enough to add Anarchy Found to the package as well because it took a little while to be send. Such a nice surprise! ♥

I also received my orders of King of Scars (Nikolai! 😍) and Stain. I'm currently reading Stain and it's a really unique book so far. The story is inspired by the fairy tale of The Princess and the Pea by Hans Christian Andersen.

I hope you will all have a great weekend and happy reading! ♥

  4. I love that mug Stephanie! Great haul, you reminded me that I wanted to read Stain. Howard usually has unique takes on her fairytales.

  7. Nice haul! I hope you'll enjoy all the books you got!

I'm still waiting for my copy of King of Scars but since I currently have no time to read, I'm relatively okay with it, relatively :)

Would really like to know your thoughts on Stain, loved the fairy tale but have read anything by Howard yet.

  8. King of Scars is next on my TBR. Stain is pretty big so it's gonna take me a little while more BUT I am really enjoying Stain. I reads like a real fairy tale and I'm also getting some Sleeping Beauty vibes. I would recommend all of her books, though.

  11. YES! I knew Howard had a way with words but it's definitely one of her best works. And I haven't even finished the book yet.

  12. My library would never get it but English books, especially YA/Fantasy isn't popular in libraries here. LIKE WHY!

  13. Good to know! I actually had to teach a chapter about fairy tales in Dutch class last week (even though I didn't study Dutch I have a fulltime job teaching it, much prefer English or Spanish :p this means I have to devote a lot more time in preparing my classes (and because there is no course book for the 5th and 6th grade and I "just have to look it up on the internet")). Basically no time left to read or do anything at all but correcting and preparing, sigh, two more weeks until I have a week off, can't come soon enough! I hope to read a lot then! I hope to check out Howard soon!

  14. I've yet to read my copy of King of Scars, but I am SO EXCITED for it. Nikolai is amazing and so is Bardugo.

Stain looks incredible too. I love A.G. Howard's book covers.

Happy readings! Hope you enjoy these books when you read them :)
