Stacking The Shelves is a weekly bookish meme hosted @ Tynga's Reviews & Reading Reality.
Only have some e-books on this book haul but I'm very excited for them. I've read Sherry Christie's Roma Amor novel so I can't wait to read Villa of the Mysteries. Also received some new freebies from Hourly History and I've already read the James Cook book, which I liked a lot. Also bought two books for 99 cents. I've seen a lot of great reviews for His Majesty's Dragon. I'm probably most excited about the books I've received for review. I already read Indebted, another amazing book by Inger Iversen and I'm currently reading A Charm of Finches. I'm not far into the book yet but it's going to be a tough one, I think. And of course I can't wait to read Darkness at the Edge of Town, the second Iris Ballard book by Jennifer Harlow. ♥
Freebies:
Villa of the Mysteries: A Novella of Nero and the god Dionysus by Sherry Christie
Villa of the Mysteries: A Novella of Nero and the god Dionysus by Sherry Christie

Winton Churchill: A Life From Beginning to End by Hourly History
(these three are not free anymore at the moment)
Confucius: A Life From Beginning to End by Hourly History
(this one is still free on Amazon for Kindle)
Bought (for 99c):
Shift by Staci Hart
His Majesty's Dragon by Naomi Novik
(only His Majesty's Dragon is still 99c)
For Review:

A Charm of Finches by Suanne Laqueur
Indebted by Inger Iversen (already read — 4.5 stars! Review to come soon.)
Darkness at the Edge of Town by Jennifer Harlow
Have you ready any of the books I featured? Which ones do you think look interesting?
Have a great weekend, everyone! ♥
That's an awesome bunch you got there! I don't think the majority of the reads would do for me, but for some reason Indebted calls to me. I suppose I need to answer, right? ;)
ReplyDeleteIndebted was great, my favorite book about those particular characters so far.
DeleteGreat haul I need to check out Shift.

DeleteI'm jealous of your ARC of A Charm of Finches, but I'm still in the middle of Exaltation of Larks because I have to keep putting it down. - Katie
ReplyDeleteExaltation of Larks was my favorite book last year. <3
DeleteI haven't read His Majesty's Dragon but I read another book by that same author (Uprooted) and absolutely fell in love with it, so I hope this book is just as good!

Uprooted is the one I've read too. So amazing! And I hope His Majesty's Dragon is just as good as well.
DeleteOHHHH, $0.99??? I love a good sale! Naomi Novik's books are so popular and I've always wanted to try one other than Uprooted (which I liked a lot). I hope you enjoy all of your new books!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend, Stephanie. =)

I hope I'll get around to that book someday. I have many others by Staci Hart that I still need to read.
