Stacking The Shelves: 15/11/'14

Stacking The Shelves is a weekly meme hosted @ Tynga's Reviews, to showcase the books we received.

Last sunday I went to the boekenbeurs (book fair) in Antwerp for the signing and Q&A of Cassandra Clare and Holly Black
I still can't quite believe that I met these two amazing authors. It was a really long day but I had a blast (I even got to sit in the iron throne!) and below are the pictures! :D

As you can see I got my books of The Iron Trial, The Poison Eaters and Clockwork Angel signed. I also got another copy of The Iron Trial signed for  Christina from Booksane. We were only allowed to get two books signed to save time but luckily my friend Mel who went with me was kind enough to get two signed also for me.

(There should be more pictures coming but I don't have them yet)

IRON THRONE!

And these are the other things I got from the boekenbeurs:

Signed copy of Pril Geluk by Guy Didelez
Mythologie by Lenneke van der Burg
Shut Up I'm Reading mug

So I don't usually buy flemish or dutch books anymore but I finally got to talk to my favorite flemish authors from when I was younger and he recommended his new YA book. I just had to get it! It was amazing talking to him and he even came with me to find his book after he was done with his signing session because I couldn't find it anywhere. I can't explain enough how super nice that was of him. And he even signed it!

For Review:
First Debt by Pepper Winters
Got it for review for the book tour. I read it in less than 24 hours (it's just sooo good!). My review will be posted on november 21st!

Bought:
Captive in the Dark by C.J. Robert
I'm kind of really into dark romance/erotica books right now so I just randomly bought this on Kindle. I've already read it and it was not bad but after 50% it was slowing too much down for me. Still good, though!

For Review:
Sparrow 59 by Devon Ashley
This is Devon's new upcoming book that I got from NetGalley. I'm excited to see what this will be all about. It sounds different but really good!

What books did you all receive?

  2. Looks like you had an awesome time at the book event that you attend. It's always awesome when you can get to meet authors and have them sign books.

  3. I haven't read anything from Holly Black yet (and I should), but she and Cassandra seem to both be awesome people to be around! Glad you had an awesome time at the event. :)

  6. I saw that Captive in the Dark was on sale but I'm on the fence if I'm gonna get it or not. It sounds like it could be good but then it sounds like I'd be bored with it as well.
