8 Bookish Resolutions for 2018

📚 My Bookish Resolutions for 2018  ðŸ“š

It's time for my first post of 2018!
I decided to make a post about my bookish resolutions. I don't usually have too many of these but I do have a few that I want to try and accomplish this year.
~

#1. Goodreads Reading Challenge â–º 100 books
In 2017 my goal was 117 books and I read 122. I don't want to particularly read more than that in 2018. I'll be happy if I reach 100 books.

#2. Read one Artemis Fowl book a month.
I always re-read the first Artemis Fowl book by Eoin Colfer and I always say I want to re-read the entire series but somehow I never do so this year I want to try to read one book in the series a month. There are only eight books in the series so I should have enough time in the whole year to do this.

#3. Read more nonfiction.
So in 2017 my most read genre was nonfiction. This was a bit of a surprise because I wasn't really trying to read more books in this genre. I want to continue this in 2018.

#4. Read more historical fiction.
And this was my second most read genre of 2017. I also want to continue doing this in 2018. It probably won't be very hard since it's my favorite genre to read.

#5. Read more thrillers.
Now this was my least read genre in 2017, I think. It's not because I don't like thrillers because I really do but I just don't know a lot that release through the years or even ones that are already releases. So if any of you have any recommendations I would really appreciate it!

#6. Read more physical books.
I already made this a resolution for me last year and I did read more physical books than e-books but I hope to read even more physical books this year. This is probably the hardest goal for me because I really like how easy e-books are to read and take along with me on trips but I shall do my best.

#7. Read more books when I buy them.
This is something I have really problems with. I tend to buy books and they'll end up on my bookshelf for months or even years. I really want to try to just read a book as soon as I can when I buy it.

#8. Stick to a monthly TBR
Another goal that will be hard for me. I love setting up monthly books that I want to read but I almost never stick to them. Review books and being a mood reader is to blame for this. Hopefully I can stick to a TBR every month better this year.

So those are my bookish resolutions and goals for 2018. What are some of your resolutions?
