As I'm writing this review, I just finished reading Alphas and Aggression and I have so many thoughts swirling through my head about the book and I'm not sure where to start. First of all, I liked this book for sure. I can't say it's my favorite story ever and it took me a while to really get into the story as well. It wasn't quite a 4 star read but better than a 3 star one. Other than that I thought it was a good book and had such a blast reading it.

It's been a while since I read a proper story about werewolves like this one. And I love werewolves, I really do. The werewolves in this story were different from what I've read so far about them, which I thought was so great. I really loved the Wesley wolf pack. All wolves were so different from one another. There are several characters that I also really want backstories from. But most of all I loved the alpha Xavier, who's one of the main characters along with Karis, who's a human. 

I've got to say that I laughed out loud a lot during this book. There were quite a few hilarious moments. Even know remembering some scenes it's making me all smile. I gotta admit that the first half was hard for me to get through but after that I felt like I knew the characters better and could appreciate them more. I also felt like that's when more exciting things started happening. And as for Xavier and Karis? Gah I just love them. And I really hope things will work out for them in the end because they are meant to be. *sigh*

Overall, Alphas and Aggression was a new and unique type of werewolf book. One that I definitely enjoyed reading. In fact, once I reach the last half of the book I had a hard time putting the book down again. There was no shortage of action and several unexpected twists that left me speechless, especially the ending!

But just as a solid plan is set, everything falls apart as Glory’s previous actions threaten to crumble the Amir dynasty and Irving unveils a damning discovery. But it’s what happened before, over a century ago, that truly endangers their mission. They demand to know the truth, but knowing isn’t always accepting. I'm so glad I finally read the third Djinn Order book. It's one of my favorite series because it has Djinn, steampunk and Glory is one of my favorite heroines ever. 

First of all I want to say that I really liked Yearn For Me. But I felt like it missed something that the other two books did have. Even so I really did enjoy this book and as always flew through it in no time. It was also seriously funny!

The action started not long after the book started, which I loved. Reading about all the ass-kicking happening there was awesome. I especially liked Glory's mom and aunt in this book because they kicked ass and they were hilarious in their interaction with each other and all the other characters.

Another new favorite character that got introduced in this book was Lord Mal. I don't know what it says about me because he is really insane but I loved him. The scenes with him were actually kind of funny. And as always I adored all the Glory and Irving scenes. I just love the both of them.

I really like the storyline of this series. I never know what to expect next. I can guess of course but this author is so good at writing the opposite of what I think will happen, which makes the story even better of course. I love twists and turns in a book.

Overall, Yearn For Me was a really great and funny read. It made me laugh out loud a lot, the characters are still super badass and the story had its fair share of slightly shocking plot twists. By now I know to expect the unexpected with these books, especially the endings. I can't wait for the next one!

Oh my god! Dream of Me was freaking awesome! Of course I wasn't expecting anything less but I'm still amazed at the turn this book took. I loved it and finished in pretty much one sitting!

In this book, Glory is still trying to come to terms with everything she discovered in the first book, with herself being the daughter of Rasputin and her mother being a fierce Djinn hunter and everything else in between. To stop Rasputin she, Irving, her mother and aunt are going on a quest to find the Lord of the Djinn order, their only hope to save everyone. 

Glory is still her feisty self, only she now knows who she really is. She still hasn't forgiven her family for keeping such a huge secret from her. I think Glory is a fantastic character but sometimes I wanted to smack some sense into her because of the decisions she made, although at the time she didn't knew they'd turn out bad. She also had some issues defining her relationship with Irving, which has its ups and down. I still love them to bits and pieces together, though. 

And Irving? What can I say about him that isn't obvious already. I love his devotion to Glory and his need to protect her, but also his kingdom. He's one of my favorite book boyfriends ever. I adore him. 

Some parts of this book really blew my mind. Especially the end. I really didn't see that one coming. The author, A. Star, really has a knack with writing surprising twists that make me exclaim out loud. Seriously. I also still love the steampunk aspect. It's all pretty genius and wonderful world-building.

Overal, Dream of Me by A. Star was amazing! Even more so than the first book, in my opinion. I'm also really excited for the next instalment in the series, with the way things ending. I can't wait!

Character interview with Irving Amir!

1. Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?

*grumbles* Mortals...Well, if I must do this...One, I am a Djinn, not a genie. Two, Irving is not my real name. Three, the answer is no. I will not be granting you any wishes today, Stephanie. I know you were thinking about it.

2. How would you describe Glory in a few words?

Ill-mannered and difficult. But as true as that may be, she is also equally beautiful and brave. 

3. What would you say is your best and worst characteristic?

I pride myself on never being afraid to do what is necessary, even if it is not always right. But who is to say what is right and what is wrong? Maybe that is my flaw right there. For me, the wrong thing can often feel so right.

4. What's it like to be a genie, um I mean Djinn...?

Very good, Stephanie, though I do not believe I can provide an answer to your question. What is it like to be human? Not that I am at all interested in being one, but I can imagine your life is quite rudimentary and mundane. Being a Djinn is nothing like that. That is the only answer I can give you.

5. What did you think when you first met Glory?

*smiles* My first thoughts were quite inappropriate. Glory is quite the beauty. But then she opened her mouth, and as you well know, it was all down hill from there. 

6. If you the roles were reversed, what three wishes would you make?

If I had three wishes, I would only use one: To be with Glory forever.

Wish for Me was simply fanastic! I think I had read two books about Djinn before but it wasn't until this book that I felt like yeah, I need to read more books with them (or author's need to write more with them). I was pretty sure I was going to like this book but I hadn't expected to love it this much from start to ending. Just... amazing!

This story is about Glory St. Pierre who chances upon what she thinks is a vase in the basement of her grandmother who has passed away. This is not an ordinary vase Glory discovers when she has taken it to her place. Turns out this vase is not only mechanical (so cool!) but also a genie lamp and whe accidentally summons the cynical but sexy Djinn, Irving Amir, inside. 

Glory was such a fun character to read about. I truly enjoyed reading about everything she did and when Irving, a Djinn, was thrown into the mix it just kept getting better. I can't even begin to explain my love for Irving. He started out exactly how I imagined a Djinn to be — Judgmental towards humans. Irving certainly was like that, but there more going on there than just a hatred toward humans. And he's so much more than just a regular Djinn.

Without giving too much away, there are quite a few plot twists that made me gasp out loud (in public...), twists that I hadn't seen coming at all. I really like books that can surprise me like this. Another cool thing to this book is the steampunk part. There's a mechanical lamp, like I said before, and the Djinn can be summoned with turning a key in it. I just thought that was so cool. And other than that there's so many other steampunk elementas in this book, like Irvin's mechanical bat. She was just so darn cute! 

Overall, Wish for Me by A. Star basically had everything I wanted — An awesome heroine, a smexy hero, djinn and magic, unexpected twists that only this author can truly shock me with and very hot romance + great writing. It was perfect!
