But an arrow through the shoulder alerts Irving to the fact that he is being hunted, and after a truce dinner with Glory ends with them both almost being killed, hating each other goes right out the window. As feelings change and love starts to develop, they must dig through the secrets and lies to find the truth...a truth neither of them will ever see coming.

Character interview with Irving Amir!

1. Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?

*grumbles* Mortals...Well, if I must do this...One, I am a Djinn, not a genie. Two, Irving is not my real name. Three, the answer is no. I will not be granting you any wishes today, Stephanie. I know you were thinking about it.

2. How would you describe Glory in a few words?

Ill-mannered and difficult. But as true as that may be, she is also equally beautiful and brave. 

3. What would you say is your best and worst characteristic?

I pride myself on never being afraid to do what is necessary, even if it is not always right. But who is to say what is right and what is wrong? Maybe that is my flaw right there. For me, the wrong thing can often feel so right.

4. What's it like to be a genie, um I mean Djinn...?

Very good, Stephanie, though I do not believe I can provide an answer to your question. What is it like to be human? Not that I am at all interested in being one, but I can imagine your life is quite rudimentary and mundane. Being a Djinn is nothing like that. That is the only answer I can give you.

5. What did you think when you first met Glory?

*smiles* My first thoughts were quite inappropriate. Glory is quite the beauty. But then she opened her mouth, and as you well know, it was all down hill from there. 

6. If you the roles were reversed, what three wishes would you make?

If I had three wishes, I would only use one: To be with Glory forever.

The following is a televised interview between lead anchor of World News Broadcasters and Michael Fleming, the main character of The Trifecta: Initiation.

Welcome Michael, let's start off with an easy question. Where are you originally from?

Michael: I was born in the United States, but at the age of eight, my parents moved my brother and me to Africa. I spent the next seven years living in a small village while learning about life from the native people. That's when the Trifecta recruited me to train in their city.

When did you first discover you had supernatural powers?

Michael: After we moved to Africa, both my brother and I noticed that our strength and speed were growing, but my powers didn't really develop until I moved to Hero City. The professors here taught me how to unlock my imagination, which only unleashed more and more power during my first year of training. And the best part is, I'm not done yet.

What is your favorite power?

Michael: That is a tough one. I'd have to say flight. I like the whole super strength thing and hyper speed is great, but nothing compares to being able to whiz through the air like a fighter jet. When I'm up in the air, I just feel––free.

Many people have noticed you hanging close to Molly a.k.a. Blue Moon. What exactly is your relationship?

Michael: (Face turns red) Ummmm, we're just friends. That's all. I mean, could there be something more? Maybe. Why? Did she say something to you? (Breathing growing more rapid).

No, no. Our audience was just curious. We can change the subject. We don't want you getting all flustered. We'd also like to know a bit more about your roommate Archer. We hear he is quite the character. What three words would best describe him?

Michael: Hyper, loud, and obnoxious. (Smirks as he finishes this answer)

Really? I guess that shouldn't be too shocking since his father was quite the loudmouth too.

So tell us, what is your favorite class in the Trifecta organization?

Michael: I would have to say Air and Water class. Although I'm not a huge fan of the water training aspect, I really like learning how to utilize my flight power. Plus Professor Hawk is really cool. He remembers and understands what it's like to be a teenager in the Trifecta.

Lastly, why should the Earth's people put their faith in you?

Michael: I'm not saying that they should. I know that everyone thinks I am destined to save the world, but that notion may be premature. All I know is that I will work hard every day to protect as many people as I can.

Now that we’ve interviewed Michael Fleming, we also have the pleasure of meeting with his newest enemy and one of the leaders of the Four Faces of Evil, Mr. Mental, who also happens to be the second main character in The Trifecta: Resurrection.

So Mr. Mental, why did you choose to join the Four Faces of Evil?

Mr. M: (Sigh) First of all, that is not our name. We are called The Four Faces. The Evil part was concocted as a part of the Trifecta's propaganda. Just one of their many attempts to defame us. 

And that is actually the main reason why I joined to fight against them. They have blinded this world to their tyranny, which gives them free reign to do whatever they want. Someone has to stand up to them. Our organization is the only one equipped to do that. This is why I joined.

(Rolling eyes) So then can you tell us, what is the mission of The Four Faces of Evil––I mean the Four Faces.

Mr. M: (Responding with glowing, yellow eyes) We have one mission––to return control to the people of Earth. We want them to regain the autonomy that the Trifecta stole from them. 

What is your greatest strength?

Mr. M: (Pointing to his forehead) Many people think that my power to control and command thousands of minds is what makes me so formidable, but in actuality, my superior intellect is my greatest power. I can foresee the outcome of any scenario, and thus I am able to prepare for virtually any obstacle that I might encounter. 

(Eyes widening with an insincere smile) Yikes, well I guess humility isn't one of your strengths. We hear that Sharp Shot is your new protege. What word would best describe her?

Mr. M: Ruthless.

What would you and your organization do if you defeated the Trifecta's Elders?

Mr. M: (Big smirk in both cheeks) My dear, none of your other questions matter. You see, while I've been answering your trivial inquiries, your broadcast has given me access to the minds of billions of humans across the globe. They are now under my control, as are you.

About the Author:

J.P. Brewner's full name is Jordan Patrick Brewner. He is a new author, who primarily writes novels in the young adult science fiction genre. After growing up in St. Charles, Illinois, he attended Augustana College to obtain a degree in teaching and English. 

From a young age, J.P.’s parents encouraged him to explore his vast imagination, and after beginning his teaching career, he started writing his first book. Currently, he teaches English in Geneva, Illinois, while he continues working on the second book in his Trifecta series. 

Since he was a child, J.P. has showed interest in sports, including running, baseball, and basketball. His students would classify him as unusual due to his relentless singing and an odd enthusiasm for wearing suits. He brings much of his strange style and humor into his writing, which is evident in his first book The Trifecta: Initiation.

Welcome to Bookfever, Apollo or do you prefer L.A.?  *smiles nervously and tucks lock of hair behind ear*

I prefer 'my lord', but since you're a friend of Diantha's, Apollo will do. This time.

Alrighty... Well, I have some questions for you… first of all, Jenn from Simply Young Adult says hi. I don’t know if you know her but she interviewed Ace not too long ago.

Of course I know who she is, mortal. I am the god of the Prophecy, aren't I? I knew of her before she did.

*clears throat*
You obviously have some family issues. Did you know I interviewed Strafford a few months ago? How would you describe your bond with him and your other sons?

*raises a brow* Is that what we have? Family issues? *snorts* We are way beyond issues at this point. My sons and I...well...we get along all right. The Prince and I? That's another story all together. Just know that he hates me. A lot.

What do you think of being a god? Is it cool, or have you been screwed?

Oh, I've been screwed. Hundreds of times. *winks* But if you're referring to me being screwed over by fate, the answer is no. Fate hasn't screwed me. Being a god has no definition. I could never explain to you what it feels like. Just know that I pity you, mortal. Where the passing of time only does wonders for the divine, it does terrible things to your kind. I would not trade places with you for anything.

Well then...
In your opinion, what is your best feature?

The entirety of me is my best feature. I'm the best from any and all angles. *grins devilshly*

What do you think is wrong with MOST people, overall?

Mortals are too inquisitive for my liking and must have all of the answers to all of the questions that are better left unanswered. In terms even you can understand, mortals know too damn much. *glares* You included.

*grins*
Would you consider yourself heroic? If yes, what about you is heroic?

*rolls eyes* Heroism is a trait of the inferior. Gods aren't heroes, mortal, nor do we want to be. We are already great. I am great. Only those who don't think the same of themselves need to prove themselves heroic.

What music do you like, except your own of course. What song is "your song?" Why?

I am the god of Music, so I love it all. I don't have any particular song I enjoy. With centuries of pieces to choose from, how could you expect me to pick just one?

What is your most prized mundane possession? Why do you value it so much?

My lyre is my most prized possession but it's far from mundane, mortal. It has many forms and produces the most seductive music you have ever or will ever hear. It's impossible to place value on an instrument like this. It's priceless.

How ticklish are you? Where are you ticklish? *grins*

*returns the grin* You amuse me, mortal. But answer me this. Would you like me to tell you all the places I'm ticklish? *leans back and spreads arms* Or would you like to discover that for yourself?

I had the honor to interview demigod Prince Strafford Law!

Welcome to Bookfever, Strafford and thanks for doing this interview with me. *smiles*

(Returns the smile) Thank you for invitin’ me, Stephanie. Nice blog, by the way. It’s a lot like you...quite cute. (Winks)

To start things off... Where did you grow up?

I was born in Ireland, but I grew up in Myth. All demigod Royals grow up in Myth. Our celestial parents like to keep us...close. They’d never admit it, but I know it’s ‘cause they’re scared of us. (smiles) And they should be.

How would you describe your family in one sentence?

I’ll do you one better, wan. One word. Complicated.

So tell me, what is it like to be a demigod Prince? What are the ups and downs of it?

Growin’ up as a Prince was bloody awesome. I mean, it was bloody good fun. I lived in a castle, I had servants, and I was practically allowed to do wha’ever I wanted. As a Prince, I had tha’ right. (Looks away) Things are different now though. You wanted to know the downs to being a Prince? There are none. There’s jus’ downs to being me.

Do you have any regrets?

(Glares) I have more than I can count, wan.

What's one of your favorite things about Chloe?

(Glare vanishes as quickly as it came)(Expression changes into one of pure adoration) I love everythin’ abou’ Chloe. Her feisty nature, her sarcastic sense of humor, the way she looks in a pair of jeans...and tha’ red hair... (He clears his throat) She’s wonderful. Too good for me, tha’s for sure.

And last but not least... Where do you see yourself in five years?

Tha’ would depend, wan, on if I’m even still alive in five years. Demigods die all the time. The Heavens of Myth is a dangerous place. (Narrows eyes) I’d stay far away from it if I were you. Jus’ ask Diantha.

S: Thanks for agreeing to do this interview, Agent Costa. To break the ice, could you tell me where you grew up?

C: I spent my childhood in Italy, but moved to New York when I was still in grade school. I've moved around a lot since then.

S: Would you say your childhood was happy? Why? Why not?

C: My, aren't we curious? My childhood was a good one. Moved around a lot, but kids get used to that. Always had my parents and my brother, so I was set.

S: What is it like to be a salamander? 

C: Easier now that the relations between normals and oh-dubs have settled down. Not that being a salamander is the roughest otherworlder to be, hiding what I am is far easier than it might be for a vampire or a succubus. But it's definitely easier these days.

And I never have to look for a match.

S: How did you end up with The Otherworlder Enforcement Agency? 

C: I grew up traveling the world, and I always wanted to be a cop. The OWEA keeps me moving around a lot, which I enjoyed. But I think I'll try to say a little closer to home now. I hear they have an opening in the Chicago office for cases that will mainly keep me close to home.

S: What’s your greatest talent?

*grins*

C: Well my greatest talent out of the bedroom is my ability to light things on fire. Coincidentally, that's my greatest talent inside the bedroom too.

S: Do you have any regrets? What are they?

C: Hell, I have plenty of regrets. Most of which I'm not really enthused about sharing. If you must know, my biggest regret is treating Marisol badly when we first met because of something that happened long before I met her. But don't worry your pretty head about it. I make it up to her on a daily basis.

S: What is it like to be in a relationship with Marisol Whitman, a succubus?

C: It's hella frustrating and fantastic. She's a great woman, and her succubus nature makes her sexy as hell. Of course, that means I have to glare at other men a lot more than I used to. And I'm occasionally tempted to hit them for staring a little too long. But, I'm having the time of my life with her.

S: How was it like working with her on a case?

C: Maddening and invigorating. I was so on edge through the whole case. Half angry with her for things another succubus had done, half out of my mind attracted to her. But she's damn good at what she does, and I was lucky to work with her.

S: How would you describe yourself in one sentence?

C: Hot. *winks*

S: Last question. Are you on a case right now? Could you perhaps tell me something about it?

C: Sorry, but I can't talk about an ongoing investigation. And I'll kindly warn you not to press the issue.

Tiffany Allee currently lives in Phoenix, AZ, by way of Chicago and Denver, and is happily married to a secret romantic. She spends her days working in Corporate America while daydreaming about sexy heroes, ass-kicking heroines, and interesting ways to kill people (for her books, of course). Her nights are reserved for writing and bothering her husband and cats (according to them). Her passions include reading, chocolate, travel, wine, and family.
