Oh I love historical fiction too! Although it's probably not my favourite genre now but I grew up with a reading diet of like 90% HF. ;D It was glorious. I so want to read Outlander sometime! And I love Elizabeth Wein's historicals about WWII and women awesome pilots and spies! Here's my TTT!
ReplyDeleteOutlander is excellent! I've read the first three books so far. and I'd love to read more WWII books. I have one on my TBR that I hope is going to be amazing!
DeleteOutlander! I read it last year and loved it - I have the next book ready to read sometime soon :)
ReplyDeleteOut of the three I've read so far, Outlander is my favorite but the others were really great as well. And of course I'm super excited for season 3 of the tv series.
DeleteI love history in general but I only read books from The War of the Roses/ Tudor period so I haven't read any of your selections. Some nice covers though!
ReplyDeleteI will read a Tudor book this year! I'm just more drawn to ancient history so it's hard sometime to get away from that.
DeleteI actually avoid historical fiction...I never seem to get into it, but seeing some of these recommendations makes me question why I do that. I should definitely give them a shot :) Outlander is the only one I know, actually. Maybe I'll start there. Thanks for the recommendations.

It happens. There are some generes I can't really get into. But if you ever need some recs, you know where to find me. ;)
DeleteI've seen a ton of people love Outlander, but I haven't read it yet. I'll have to check a few of these out! Have a great week!

Outlander is long but really amazing!
DeleteOMG! I l o o o o v e historical fiction! Mostly adult historical romance, but I do like general adult historical fiction, and YA historical fiction. I read Curses and Smoke - we need more YA stories set in Pompeii for sure. That was an interesting book. I'm curious about The Emperor's Conspiracy!
ReplyDeleteMight I recommend The Valiant by Lesley Livingston? Gladiators, ancient Rome, amazing book. :D
Have a wonderful week, Stephanie. =)

Great list! I don't read nearly enough historical fiction, but when I do I always enjoy them. I do have Outlander on my TBR though, but I think I need to finish a few of my current series before starting such a big one.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my post.
You read so much historical fiction, I am impressed with this list! I haven't read any of these before either, so they're all new to me! Outlander is one book I really want to read <3
