Waiting On Wednesday: Waylaid by Kim Harrison

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking The Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that I'm eagerly anticipating.

Waylaid by Kim Harrison
Expected publication: April 4th 2016 by Pocket Star

Worlds collide when Rachel Morgan of The Hollows meets Peri Reed of The Drafter in this exciting new short story from #1 New York Times bestselling author Kim Harrison.

The paranormal and the futuristic meet in this thrilling novella featuring your favorite badass heroines from two of “the amazingly gifted” (RT Book Reviews) Kim Harrison’s most beloved series: the Hollows and the Peri Reed Chronicles. The magic of the Hollows runs full force into the technological sophistication of The Drafter when a device capable of carrying a city’s data stream pulls Rachel, the bounty hunter witch of the Hollows, between realities, marooning her in a world where the supernatural holds no sway. To get Rachel and Jenks home, Peri, the dangerous renegade of 2030, must decide what will chart her future: her blind trust in those who grant her power, or her intuition telling her to believe.

Rachel Morgan AND Peri Reed TOGETHER in ONE story?!

I am SO ready for this! Less than three weeks to go and of course I already preordered it. Can't wait!

What's your WOW pick?
Leave me the link to your post so I can stop by!

  1. Oh wow, a mash-up / crossover of sorts. This sounds great!

    Majanka @ I Heart Reading

  2. I haven't read anything by Kim Harrison but this definitely makes me want to check out a few of her books :) I hope you love Waylaid when you get your hands on a copy!
Danielle @ Life With Two Boys

  3. Just the mention of Jenks means I may have to give up and read The Drafter. I read the first novella "Sidetracked" I think, and really didn't like it that well - but I love Rachel and Jenks and don't want to be lost when I finally get this one.

    1. I thought The Drafter was AMAZING! I still need to read Sidetracked, though. You just reminded me of it!

  4. This does sound interesting! I haven't heard of this author before! I hope you enjoy this book when you get your hands on a copy! :D

    Here's my WoW!

  5. Am sorry but I am not familiar with this. But I can sense your excitement! Hope you enjoy this once you get it!

    My WoW!

    Kate @ The Bookaholic Blurbs!

  6. I haven't heard of this book before? But it sounds like two characters you really like have come together in a single book and I just know how awesome that would be if it happened to me. Enjoy this one!
