Can't-Wait Wednesday: The Governess Game by Tessa Dare

Can't-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at Wishful Endings, to spotlight and talk about the books we're excited about that we have yet to read. It's based on Waiting On Wednesday hosted at Breaking the Spine.

The Governess Game by Tessa Dare
Expected publication: August 28th 2018 by Avon

He’s been a bad, bad rake—and it takes a governess to teach him a lesson

The accidental governess.

After her livelihood slips through her fingers, Alexandra Mountbatten takes on an impossible post: transforming a pair of wild orphans into proper young ladies. However, the girls don’t need discipline. They need a loving home. Try telling that to their guardian, Chase Reynaud: duke’s heir in the streets and devil in the sheets. The ladies of London have tried—and failed—to make him settle down. Somehow, Alexandra must reach his heart... without risking her own.

The infamous rake.

Like any self-respecting libertine, Chase lives by one rule: no attachments. When a stubborn little governess tries to reform him, he decides to give her an education—in pleasure. That should prove he can’t be tamed. But Alexandra is more than he bargained for: clever, perceptive, passionate. She refuses to see him as a lost cause. Soon the walls around Chase’s heart are crumbling... and he’s in danger of
falling, hard.

Even if I wasn't already really looking forward toward the release of The Governess Game in August, I would still be first in line to read the book because of that catchphrase "He’s been a bad, bad rake—and it takes a governess to teach him a lesson." ;)

The first book, The Duchess Deal (which I LOVED) was my first book by Tessa Dare but the books I have read by her, only three so far, have been really good. I want to read more so if you have any Tessa Dare book recommendations I'd love to hear them!

  15. I could have SWORN I had commented on this post! Well, since that's not the case, I'm doing so now! Lol. :) :)

Yeah, that sure is a cute phrase! Lol. And oh, how we women LOVE the idea of taming a bad boy!! This is a very common romantic trope, and we swooning females NEVER grow tired of it! Of course, I'm including myself in this group. Hahaha!!

This book does sound like it will be VERY romantic, with a LOT of sparks! Plus, as Lynn stated above, it will also be a lot of fun! So I LOVE this pick!! Adding it to my GR shelves right away!!

Thanks for being such a regular commenter on my blog!! I'm now trying to catch up with my comments back! HUGS!!!! <3 <3 <3 :) :) :)
