Monthly Wrap-Up — April 2020

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! April was another weird month where I've been feeling like I'm in limbo or something. Most days I can't even remember what day it actually is but at least I got to read a lot of books. I think this is the best reading month I've had. Not only did I read 10 books but pretty much all of them were amazing. I had so many favorites that this time I can't even choose a favorite of the month, I really had too many. Which, of course, is a good thing! And I like how I read a good varriety of genres in April too. High fantasy, urban fantasy, historical fiction, contemporary romance, erotic romance. I'm really not complaining this month with the books I've been reading and hopefully it'll be the same in May.

1. Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson — 5/5★ (My Review)
2. Chain of Gold by Cassandra Clare — 5/5★ (My Review)

4. Feversong by Karen Marie Moning — 5/5
5. The Shadows Between Us by Tricia Levenseller — 4/5★ (Review to come)

  5. Looks like you had a fun month there. I haven't read Roberts Taboo romances yet but I need to try them even if its crossing my boundary line. I haven't pushed it in a while and what a rating you gave that one. Glad to see you had such a good reading month. This was also the best reading month I think I have had since January.

I need to get my hands on Pepper Winters and happy to see you like Moning. I haven't been able to read her since that scandal some years ago unfortunately.

Happy April and hope you have a fabulous month of MAY and get some fresh air and sunshine now that we are having warm weather :)

  9. A lot of four and five stars! I have seen some not so positive things about a sorcery of thorns so I am glad you enjoyed it at least. That gives me some hope!

  10. Looks like you had a great reading month! I do feel like it’s been a kind of limbo month too though! I think my favourite of the month was What’s Left of Me is Yours by Stephanie Scott! I hope you have a lovely May! 💗

  11. Yes there was. Right after the fifth book of her fever series was released. The narrator for the books raped a girl and KMM victim shamed the victim and defended the narrator and he admitted to it. And lost much of her reader base at the time because of it including myself. Many bloggers stopped reading her. Her PR team insisted she make an apology which she did do but it was very non genuine. I just lost all respect for her because of it. But not many now know about it, it was swept under the rug except for us bloggers that are still around from that time.

  12. It's definitely weird times right now and I totally relate to not knowing what day it is, but I'm glad you got a good reading month in! My favorite April read is definitely Sorcery of Thorns! I want to read Chains of Gold, but I'm still in doubt whether or not I can wait so I can binge read the entire series when it's out (though to be honest, I probably can't wait haha)
