This is the little-known story of Placidia, sister to one of the last Roman Emperors. A huge thanks to Raggedy Moon Books for sending a copy to me.

I'm doing so well with not buying too many books. Unless they're on sale. :3
DeleteBoth books look so good and quite close in theme and time I presume. Hope you will enjoy them!
ReplyDeleteThe time periods aren't very close together. Lily of the Nile is about Cleopatra's daughter and Twilight Empress takes place near the end of the Roman empire but still close in theme, yes. :D
DeleteExcuse me while I die over how gorgeous the cover of Lily of the Nile is!! Enjoy your new historical adventures!!
ReplyDeleteRonnie @ Paradise Found
Yes it's so beautiful! I wish it was available with that cover in paperback but it isn't. :(
DeleteI have wanted to read Stephanie Dray for a while. I love the cover of Lily of the Nile. I hope you enjoy both of these!
ReplyDeleteThen I would also highly recommend America's First Daughter and My Dear Hamilton. :D
DeleteNot my first choice, but they seem like very interesting reads. Will have to check these out. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHistorical fiction is what I live for. Haha :D
DeleteI love the covers of these. I hope you enjoy them. I just adore HR but haven't been reading the genre lately. I have been stuck on thrillers. I hope you have a great week of reading!
ReplyDeleteMary my #Sunday Roundup #17!
Both of these sound so good. I haven't heard of Twilight Empress, but I'm intrigued. And I just love the cover of Lily of the Nile. I hope you enjoy them! Have a wonderful week, Stephanie.
ReplyDeleteLily of the Nile looks and sounds awesome! I adore the cover and I've heard such great things about that author's books. Happy reading, Stephanie!

What a pretty cover on Lily of the Nile. Hope you enjoy them!
ReplyDeleteTwilight Empress sounds like a really good read. I love when a book can inform me about history that I did not previously know before.
