Mostly through Goodreads but also via fellow bloggers/readers that I talk to. Also NetGalley and Edelweiss are awesome to find new books.
How did you get into reading?
I've pretty much always loved reading from the moment I learned in school at the age of seven. But I didn't start reading English books until I decided to purchase Twilight in English. Before I had always read the Dutch version of it. Ever since then I've continued reading books in English, which is so much better!
How has your taste in books changed as you got older?
I used to be really into urban fantasy and YA paranormal (mostly vampire books). I still love those genres a lot but I learned to appreciate some YA contemporary books, which I didn't used to like. I also love historical fiction a lot.
How often do you buy books?
Too often? lol. It depends if it's ebooks or paperbacks. I buy more ebooks, obviously, because I can find them at a cheaper price so it happens I buy ebooks a few times a week. For paperbacks it depends on how many are coming out that I really want in a month so I can't really put a number on it.
How did you get into book reviewing?
I had been thinking about creating a blog for a while because I wanted to have a place to post my reviews on aside from Goodreads. So one day in December 2011 I decided to just go for it.
How do you react when you don't like the end of a book?
It depends on what kind of ending it is—cliffhanger, sad ending, screwed up ending, etc... But I usually just contain my anger to poor into a review for the book or talk about it with my bookish friends.
How often do you take a sneak peek at the ending to see if there is a happy ending?
Never! Who would do such a thing? Seriously, if I would do that it would ruin the whole book for me and I'd probably not want to read the book at all. Like spoilers, if I see one it ruins the book a bit for me.

My tastes have definitely changed in a similar way to yours – 5 years ago I was all about the fantasy and while I still love fantasy I'm more of a contemporary person now :)

It's weird how book tastes can change over the years!
DeleteLoved all your answers, Stephanie - thanks for doing the tag! ♥ After reading Twilight (in German!) I was so much into vampire books ... I almost ONLY read books with them, I guess that's also why I'm staying away from it now. I just read too many and it got a little boring, I guess, haha.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day! <3

Thanks again for tagging me! The only vampires I like reading about these days are the ones on Jeaniene Frost's books. Other than those it's all done before, imo.
DeleteI have a book buying cycle. There are weeks where I'll just buy everything in sight, and then those weeks (usually when I've spent all of my money) when I make myself wait til the library gets it! :)
